Using plain text filter adds extraneous carriage returns.

Using the Custom Token to add starting years to the copyright notice in footers. Thusly, its placed inline within a tag. Trying to change over from PHP to plain text, extraneous carriage returns are added to the output. Had to revert back to PHP.
