For a development server I'm working on, there is no domain name assigned and http is on port 5001. However, the result of _oembedcore_get_host is 6.71:5001 when given the link http://24.191.6.71:5001/1. This causes it to fail matching. Is it possible to modify the get host function to make this system work, or is there something more problematic that will occur from using IP addresses on non-standard ports?
Marking this major only because I don't see anything in the oEmbed spec that IP address/non-port-80 links violates. If I'm off-base, please correct the priority.
