If you have a file field that is a dependent you cannot remove the file

I tried setting up a file field as a dependent based on the value of a taxonomy field. When you upload a file into the file field everything works as intended. The issue I have run into is when you want to switch the dependee value and remove the file in the file field. I can successfully remove the file from the file field but when I save the form the file is still there. When I remove the condition and am no longer applying a dependent dependee relationship I can successfully remove the file from the node. I tried playing with the settings within the conditional field but could not figure out if I was configuring it incorrectly or if this in an actual bug.

Thanks for the report and all the efforts in here. But due to inactivity in this issue for some years and because of the upcoming EOL of Drupal 7, I will close this issue on the way by cleaning up the issue queue.

Feel free to re-open as "Needs review" if you found a solution or have a patch to be reported to help others on this outdated version.

If you think this issue or missing feature should be addressed in a newer Drupal core 8 and above compatible version of this project, then please file a new issue to the latest dev.
