load 4 thumbs and slides at time

Hi,

first of all, thank you for this beautiful module. I myself am not a coder, so please if my question is stupid, simple "No" might do as answer.
My question is: when I want to create a gallery that has f.e. 80 pictures, the loading time is just too long even when pictures are actually small in size.
Is it possible to load only pictures actually on the screen and than load others after clicking one of the buttons?
Just not to load all the thumbs and slides at once.
