Is oEmbed suitable to view videos stored on my own site?

I want to be able to display a video on my Drupal 7 web site.
The video files will be sored on my own site.
I am NOT interested in showing videos from Youtube or similar sites.
I am NOT interested in sharing my videos with others.
I do NOT want to subscribe to a file/video hosting provider.

I just want to upload a video to my own site, and for visitors to my site to view the video!

I have installed the oEmbed (including oEmbed Field, Media oEmbed, oEmbed Core, Oembed Embed.ly, oEmbed Filter, and oEmbed Provider), Media Module, jPlayer, Videojs and Flowplayer.

In File Types and Content types, when I define a field as 'file' with Widget type: 'Media file selectors' the available display formats include jPlayer and VideojS. Should it also show oEmbed as an option?

At present, if I select either jPlayer or VideoJS I get a blank video box and an error:200 Stream not found!

Can you help please. I have been struggling with this for two weeks now, and I'm desperate for a solution!

I'm closing it because the issue was created a long time ago without any further steps.

if you still need it then raise a new one.
