Actually, items that are not actually links are not enclosed in tags. I've taken a look into the code and I've seen that custom_breadcrumbs_override_link() should theme the output of the breadcrumb, but the function appears to have no effect.
Am I missing something? Is there a way to theme the output of the breadcrumb in the meantime?
