It would be a great feature I think, if an administrator of a drupal site using filestore2 could enter in the relative or absolute location within the web server's local file tree where a file can be loaded from, instead of only having the option of uploading it from the web browsing machine
Kind of like how the image module lets you scan a directory for existing images instead of manually uploading each one
