I am closing this issue, since it is for a Drupal version that now is not supported.
Please re-open it if the issue is also relevant for other project branches that require a supported Drupal version.
I've been unable to commit to this project for some time now. However, I now have a quite sophisticated node JS client/server running on my D6 implementation.
I've included the JS files for Server & Client for this. You will need to add your nodejs server url in the module and js files, (see TODO comments).
Differences between my module and DrupalChat? Probably quite a lot.. There's some cool things like synchronization between all open browser tabs etc.
I'd love if someone could mix some of my code with DrupalChat so we can get a great open source implementation.
