Add option to sumit the form upon selection

I'm trying to use this widget for a search form. For the search autocomplete use case, the required behavior is for the form to submit when one of the autocomplete suggestions is selected (using the mouse or enter key). This feature would just add code that submits the form to the select event. This functionality would then be added as an option for the widget.

Could this be added as a feature?
