When you paste a link into a WYSIWYG box it converts it to an link. So pasting http://vimeo.com/18150336 would become http://vimeo.com/18150336. oEmbed therefore does not convert the link to a video as it does not look inside the . Attached is patch so that oEmbed will look inside the and convert them to videos. Normal links that are added as long as they are not an oEmbed provider that has been switch on for the site will function as normal.
