I've been using Galleria Drupal 6.
Site has 22 nodes with appx 14 attached pictures per node with upload of pictures from local Computer HDD. Each node has a menu pointer, and the pictures are stored on my webserver after uploaded.
Watching the videos on this I couldn't determine, if such a thing is possible with Gallery Formatter.
