use of maxmind binary file

thanks for the module !

is there any intention to implement the use of the binary file maxmind also offers?
I mean this wouldn't require an extra table and performance may be much better compared to the use of mysql
updating the source would only need to overwrite the .dat file and not parsing a csv file.

I just tried to implement it - was quite easy by using the offered API:
http://www.maxmind.com/app/php

Or was there a specific reason to not use the binary file?
