Probably someone already tried this approach, but i can't find anything relevant on the issue tracker, so i would like to submit this patch that provides the possibility to alter og_breadcrumb.
I've developed this patch just because there is a "bug" with spaces_og because og breadcrumb should link $group->purl insted of $group->nid in order to respect configurations.
