I've set up most of the content on our development site to be available only to users who are part of a group. The content has an audience of 3 groups. I created a test account to see how the browsing experience will be.
What I found was that if I viewed the group node of a group I'm not a member of, all of the content is viewable, yet there's a link to join that group, and all of the content appears to be part of that group. Yet, if I view the group node of the group I am a member of then all of that same content appears to be part of my group, and I have all of the normal OG links in my navigation, replacing the link to join the group.
I guess I don't quite understand how the user experience works. Why does the content change after you browse a group node? And how do I prevent users from browsing the content through another group? I don't want them running across the issue I found. I only want them to view the content through their own group so that their OG navigation options don't change.

It's likely this issue predates Contrib.social: some issue and comment data are missing.
