Honestly, I think this feature must go and we must encourage composer use.
Can there be an option to install directly from a local folder?
Sometimes I surf the modules queue and download the interesting modules as I go to a local folder.
I have a development server on my local computer, and would like to be able to install locally.
Maybe this is already possible but I'm not seeing it. Lowly non-technical end-user here.
