Image Migration handles migration of images while upgrading website from Drupal 7 to Drupal 8.

Why Image Migration Module Required?

The migration tool available with Drupal 8 core does not migrate the images properly. The images are not displayed on website after upgrade from Drupal 7 to Drupal 8. This module resolves this issue and migrate images from source website (Drupal 7) to target website (Drupal 8).

Steps to Use Image Migration Module

Setup your source site and database in the same host where your Drupal 8 instance is running
Setup external Database in the settings.php file of Drupal 8 instance
Install module as per the standard instructions given for Drupal module installation
Go to the configuration page of Image migration module and fill up the required details in the form
Click on save configuration button.
Your images has been migrated from source site for the selected content types image field.

Image Migration Using Drush Command

Alternatively you can use drush command "drush image-migrate" to migrate images.

Pre Conditions

Before using module, please ensure that you have run migration tool successfully and configuration and contents has been migrated from Drupal 7 source site to Drupal 8 destination site.
