XHTML validation fails when ad header has a link

Created on 27 February 2010, almost 15 years ago
Updated 19 September 2024, 4 months ago

If you enter a link in the Destination URL field for a text ad, the ad is rendered on the page with the ad header wrapped in a <p>, which is in turn wrapped in a <a>. XHTML does not allow a block element to be wrapped in an inline element. This is most easily visible if displaying the ads in Raw mode so the HTML will be printed directly to the page source.

Drupal 6 is EOL and no longer supported. Closing this as outdated for that reason. Thanks for your contribution!
