When installing on Windows, xampp apache craches. Here is the Windows event log:
Faulting application apache.exe, version 2.2.11.0, faulting module php_pdo_mysql.dll, version 5.2.8.8, fault address 0x0000250a.
I am not sure this is Drupal related or Windows related or maybe just my client.
For the record: D6 runs very smooth on this same machine.
