Search Recipe(from Drupal CMS) breaks any component edition

Steps to reproduce the issue

1. Install Drupal CMS 2.x including Canvas RC1,
2. Enable the provided Search recipe from Recommended Addons
3. Edition of any component is broken with the following 500 error The user-entered string '' must begin with a '/', '?', or '#'

Disabling the block provided in components under theme Appearance removes this error.
