knn searches have more than just top_k value as a search parameter. These should be captured as configuration in the Dense Vector section of the Solr index and the complete $settings array should be passed to the plugin so developers can implement what they need.
There will be changes to the plugin interface, mostly removing 'top_k' and passing a settings array.
