Error renaming base field

After renaming a base field of custom entity, the system won't allow any edit of the entity and shows this error

Symfony\Component\Routing\Exception\InvalidParameterException: Parameter "base_field" for route "content_entity_builder.base_field_edit_form" must match "[^/]++" ("" given) to generate a corresponding URL. in Drupal\Core\Routing\UrlGenerator->doGenerate() (line 209 of E:\www\nameofthesite\web\core\lib\Drupal\Core\Routing\UrlGenerator.php).
