Canvas AI: UUID of te selected component is not properly passed to the page builder agent

Overview

When user selects an existing component placed in the page and asks to add new components 'above/below' this, page builder needs the UUID of the selected component to identify the position for the new components. This value is not passed unless the page is reloaded.

Proposed resolution

  • Add any component using Page Builder.
  • Open the Network tab.
  • Click on the newly added component.
  • Try adding a new component above or below it using prompts such as “Add a button with text ‘Drupal’ below this.”
  • Note that the active_component_uuid parameter in the request is empty.
