Yes it has some quirks that need to be addressed, looking in depth it tries to fix issues in code that could help but adds more confusion overall when not familiarized with the logic. I'll recommend you to just follow the documentation of https://git.drupalcode.org/project/social_auth_nextcloud/-/blob/4.0.x/RE... and from there continue, or if you prefer try to glue the chagpt findings, but there are possibilities to end up with a spaghetti code drupal flavour more difficult to maintain...
