Fix PHPCS coding standards checks on CI

Our CI jobs have an allowed-failure for PHPCS -- it detects very minor coding standards defects: https://git.drupalcode.org/project/mercury/-/jobs/6242496

Let's fix these so that our CI jobs can be completely and fully green. It's a nice feeling and gives us confidence in the code quality.
