Recommended version 2.3.0-rc1 not compatible with core 10.5

Problem/Motivation

The update to version 2.2.0-rc1 is recommending version 2.3.0-rc1 which is not compatible with core 10.5. I now get email from all websites regarding a release that is not compatible. Can I override this or can you change the suggested version?

Steps to reproduce

Run composer update. After installing 2.2.0-rc1, new release available status indicating 2.3.0-rc1 is recommended, but that version is not compatible with core 10.x
