Guides doesn't work without LGD base theme

Problem/Motivation

I installed Guides with the OOTB Drupal theme.
None of the page components for guides show.

Steps to reproduce

Proposed resolution

If Guides is intended to work only with the LGD theme, it should say so when installing and in the README. (And in the project page, but that's currently... interesting)
