Apparently Plain Text fields are not selectable on the Scanner configuration page when they are of the type "Text (plain, long)"
I have a Content Type called "Photograph" containing a field called "Description" with the field type Text (plain, long). On /admin/config/content/scanner I select the "Content--Photograph" entity type and the Description field does not appear in the list of available fields.
Text fields of other types are available: Text (plain) and Text (formatted, long)
As a test I created an additional test field of the type Text (plain, long), and it, too was unavailable on the Configuration page.
I am not knowledgeable enough to be able to troubleshoot this issue effectively, but wanted to report it. Hopefully I'm not missing something obvious.
