The Validatable config job started failing on an issue MR for a core issue. It was suggested in a Slack conversation that the number of commits in the issue branch was the source of the problem. Squashing the branch to a single commit and force pushing the issue branch fixed the job.
I duplicated the issue branch locally before squashing if it is needed for reference.
