Remove usage of "whitelist", use better terms instead

Created on 10 June 2025, about 2 months ago

Problem/Motivation

#2993575: [meta] Remove usage of "blacklist", "whitelist", use better terms instead

Steps to reproduce

https://git.drupalcode.org/project/cas_server/-/jobs/5454224

Proposed resolution

The word cannot immediately be removed as it is used in the name of a public class method. Deprecate the function and flag for removal in 3.0.x branch.

Ask cspell nicely not to flag it as a naughty word as it will have a deprecation notice next to it.
