Design a roll-up banner for Drupal promotions

Promotional materials

Members of the European Drupal community give presentations and organize stand at Tech events throughout Europe about Drupal and Drupal CMS. We need a neutral Drupal banner to bring to these events. The banner should appeal to potential Drupal users, making them interested to use open source Drupal for their Ambitious Digital Experiences.

The Dutch Drupal Association has agreed to finance two roll-ups.
NEDA will manage the roll-ups.

We are looking for a design matching the new Drupal brand.

Details: 100 x 200 cm

Technical guidelines

Download the working drawing.This already has the correct format
Place your design in the “Design” layer
Remove the other layers before submitting. So only submit your design
We recommend that you create the files in Adobe InDesign or Adobe Illustrator
Follow the instructions in the working drawing.
Printing & use of colour
Create the files in CMYK colours
Use the Fogra 39 ICC colour profile
We convert files supplied with PANTONE or RGB colours to CMYK colours
Use a resolution of 300 DPI for images in your design
We advise against using images with a resolution lower than 150 DPI
Ensure all fonts are fully embedded or converted to outlines/outlines
Use a minimum font size of 6 pt
Final readability depends on font, size and color contrast

Bleed & Margin
Let your background extend into the bleed, this prevents white edges after cutting
Keep texts/logos and frames that may not be cut off at least 3 mm from the cutting line
When exporting, use the bleed settings from the document and do not use crop marks
Submit your print file as a PDF
First remove the information that does not need to be printed
Save your file without security and do not use crop marks
Preferably use the PDF profile PDF/X”4:2008
Always check the format to be supplied and the content of your file for correctness before submitting

Following a round of feedback, I designed two updated generic Drupal pull-up banners and shared the final designs shared with esmoves on Thursday 19th June via the #promotedrupal Slack channel. The banner designs are going to be added to the drive of the Network of European Drupal Associations.
