webform - "scale" element does not visually indicate selected option

Steps to reproduce:

  1. Go to /admin/structure/webform and create a new form.
  2. Add an element of type Scale.
  3. View the form.
  4. Try to select one of the scale options.

Expected behavior:

When a user selects a value in the scale element, the selected option should be visually marked (e.g. highlighted or styled) to clearly show what was selected.

Actual behavior:

After selecting an option, there is no visual indication of the selected value. It's not possible to tell which option is currently selected.

Suggested fix:

Update the CSS/styling to ensure that selected options in scale elements are clearly visible.

Additional info:

The issue can be seen in Open Intranet. For comparison, attached is a screenshot showing the correct behavior in Drupal CMS 1.1.1.
