For the helper to show when a field most recently changed, add an option to fall back to the first revision if no other change found

Problem/Motivation

Sometimes when there is no previous change for a field you want to do nothing— we return NULL right now, that's fine for that case.

Other times you want to go all the way back to the first revision of the entity. We should provide an option to return that.
