State API - bug with select element changing checkmark checked

Overview

This can be reproduced by enabling the xb_test_state_api module.

The "Select to change states" select element works as expected regarding its ability to alter the state of the dependent elements. However, the displayed select value is not updated when any checkbox-impacting options are selected. In this case "Make checked unchecked" and "Make unchecked checked". It's not yet clear if this is a bug impacting all scenarios or specific to the xb_test_state_api implementation.

It is worth nothing that a select changing the checked/unchecked of a checkbox element is not a common use case so while this should be addressed it is pottible that it isn't as urgent as other UI bugs.
