When adding a long text sub field the max length stays filled in as 255

Problem/Motivation

When adding a Long text field I do not want a max length usually.

Steps to reproduce

Add a custom field
Subfield machine name text
Change type to text (long)
Open settings and see Max length is set to 255

Workaround is to delete it, or to change to hidden and back to Text area

Proposed resolution

When setting long text the max field should be reset.
