It doesn't seem like this module supports relationships between content and config? I came here because I am trying to migrate a taxonomy term view that was pulling fields from the related vocabulary. In modern core Drupal, you can only get the vocabulary name. With this module, I can't create a relationship to the vocabulary from a term, and in a vocabulary view, I can't create any relationships at all.
Am I misunderstanding the intent of this module, or is it just work that still needs to be done?

There may always be some limitations of course to combining things between config and content, but if you do want to explore, the starting place is in the views data here and here in the 'query' on the config.
