Missmatch between Group page and release notes

Created on 22 May 2025, 15 days ago

Problem/Motivation

On the group info page there is this handy chart called Index of Group Versions.
This suggests Group 2.x is to be used until Group 4.x , however in the release notes of
Group 2.3.0 there is some text that is easily read as an recommendation (looking at it, its possible its not meant as that but its how I read it and it confuses me). The release note in question is "You should first update to the latest 2.x.x release (this one) before you head over to the v3.3.0 release and try upgrading".

Is that a recommendation to update, or a "if you update".

Proposed resolution

I guess this is part of the issue, its possible it could be clearer on the Chart that the note in release note is an if.
I will still leave this note because it was something I was looking for, so the chance somebody else does the same exists.

That text was added to show that you now can upgrade from v2 to v3, but only if you first update v2 to 2.3.x. It does get confusing over time, I suppose.

The proposed resolution doesn't seem to be fully actionable, what would you suggest we change and where?
