I am trying to import images to an image field.
My source csv file has a column called "field_image" with relative paths such as /sites/default/files/red-car.jpg or public://red-car.jpg
Can Feeds map these paths to an image field ?
I have tried a few different settings in mapping but so far nothing gets imported ie after the import, other (text) fields are imported but the image field is empty.
Any ideas please?

No, importing from relative paths is not supported yet. Only urls using the http or https scheme are supported for importing files at the moment.
Adding support for relative paths is high on the wishlist, there is being worked on in ✨ File target: add support for local file path as source Needs work .
