Field previously indexed not showing in View creation

I created a second index but it also uses some fields which are indexed in the first index. Those fields are not showing up when creating the second View and trying to add them as fields on the View. Are fields marked as exclusive to an index so they cannot be indexed more than once?

Looking for some clarity please.
