Scrolling issue with using optionset as navigation

Problem/Motivation

When using the "Use as navigation" under the advanced section of the optionset I am able to scroll through (left and right) and click on an item that will show on the Flexslider referenced in the field. However, when many images are added when I scroll then click on a thumbnail it scrolls the thumbnail slider backwards instead of remaining on the position where it was clicked from.

Steps to reproduce

Add a Flexslider and a secondary one for navigation. Set the navigation to use the original slider in the advanced section. Enable next/previous controls and set the "Move" to 1. Add images that you can scroll enough so the initial images are no longer visible on the thumbnails.

Proposed resolution

Update to Javascript to not scroll the thumbnails when clicking on an item after scrolling.
