I would like to use the Basic theme but I am concerned by the lack of activity. There has not been a new release for over two years and there is only an alpha release of version 3. There are also numerous bug fixes that were marked as reviewed by the community over a year ago that have not been applied.
I would simply like to know whether there are plans to maintain Basic in the future, including making any changes necessary for Drupal 11 before I commit to using it in my projects.

Sorry for the late reply.
The answer is yes. BASIC will be supported through Drupal 11. I'll be reviewing and committing RTBC issues and making sure that it is D11 capable.
