Clicking the thumbnail preview of a component unexpectedly inserts the component

Overview

1) it's not expected that clicking the preview thumbnail popover will insert the component
2) see screenshot - the area on which you click is significantly larger than the visual element which means clicking in seemingly empty space can still trigger inserting the component.
