Version plugin needs to be refactored

Problem/Motivation

Currently showing the version and environment information is done a bit hackery. With javascript replacing the top logo part. It should be investigated if we can override the template and do this properly. Currently for example Safari is not properly displaying the underlying menu.

Steps to reproduce

Enable the version plugin.

Proposed resolution

Maybe hide the fixed logo part from core using css and replace it with a "version block"-plugin which is placed in the top region of navigation as the first item. This block then needs to be properly themed to mimic the core logo behaviour and add the version behaviour.

Or find a way to override the core template.
