When using Font Awesome and enabling the option of "Place an icon next to tel: links", the telephone icon is not shown, instead the external link icon is displayed.
I see this is a bug in Drupal.theme.extlink_fa_tel function, where it is using drupalSettings.data.extlink.extFaLinkClasses instead of drupalSettings.data.extlink.extFaTelClasses.

I just realized this is already fixed in 2.0.x-dev, but not in the latest release 2.0.4. So here is a patch just for those who want to keep using the latest release.
