ECA Endpoint: ajax responses with empty settings array causes js errors

Problem/Motivation

If an ECA endpoint responds with an ajax response and commands use an empty array for the settings, this may throw exceptions in the browser console.

Proposed resolution

Use NULL instead of an empty array as a fallback.
