Group install is broken when upgrading from 3.2.2 to 3.3.4

Problem/Motivation

Group install is broken when doing drush updb after module upgraded, and the group member views broken in roles field (Broken/missing handler). Please see the attachments.

Steps to reproduce

• Upgrade module from 3.2.2 to 3.3.4
• Run drush updb
• 'Call to a member function set() on null' error
