Drupal 11 Link sent for email verification is incorrect

The verification email link seems to be broken somehow and throws error each time a new user registration is created

Expected behavior

Clicking link in user verification email brings new user to the password reset process page

Install and enable User Email Verification
Configure as stated in the guide
Log out, fill in new user registration form, click submit
Check email and click email verify link https://drupal-cms-1.ddev.site/user/user-email-verification/0/1739464563...
Error is thrown "Your verification link is incorrect. Request a new on using the form below

Check if this function still works on Drupal version 11 or if somehow the token creation or verification is now broken

I just discovered that the problem was a conflict with another module Easy Email that was overriding the original email template. The workaround was to set the HTML body field and the Plain text body field to be copied from the original instead of using the fields from Easy Email.
