Model: arrow as condition or arrow as arrow

Created on 12 February 2025, 12 days ago

Even though Model creation is based on BPMN.IO, is it possible to have Condition frames instead of arrows representing Conditions, similar to Actions?
It would be much clearer than this, because if we don't give a name to a Condition, it is not clear whether the given arrow is just a connector or a Condition.

Attached is a screenshot of the two cases.

This is not ECA, this is related to the bpmn_io module.

I don't think this will actually be implemented, though. The links between 2 objects in an BPMN model are either unconditional or conditional. But even unconditional is like a condition which is always true.

What could probably be done to address your issue, is to ask the maintainers of the bpmn.io library whether they can add an indicator to the link if that has a template applied to it. That would be something for the issue queue at https://github.com/bpmn-io/bpmn-js

  • Maybe it's just me that's bothered.
    I'll write to a BPMN.IO developers, maybe.
    Thank you for the info!
