As per the core change record:
Support for object oriented hook implementations using autowired services →

As of core Drupal 11.1, hooks can be written as instance methods on a class rather than procedural methods in a module file. This change is backwards compatible with Drupal 10 as well.

But this feature will not be backported to Radioactivity 4.0.x because it is incompatible with Drupal 9.

I think it's working now - no new testing failures, but I am unsure of how much of the code in the hooks is actually being tested ...
