Mismatched entity and/or field definitions Error when upgrading from 5.2.5 to 6.x

Getting mismatched entity and/or field definitions error on the status report for the oauth2_token on the scopes field.

Upgrade simple_oauth from 5.2.3 to 6.0 and go to "/admin/reports/status", the error is visible.

Update associated field storage in a hook_update.
