Inbox block behaviour

Problem/Motivation

Hi,

I have created a block showing the private message threads using the inbox block.
When clicking any thread it just changes the URL, but does not redirect user to that URL.
This is maybe intended behaviour because the inbox block is meant not to work "alone" ?

So what I wish, is a feature where the inbox block thread links could workd as a "normal" links,
directing user to the actual thread, like "private-messages/33"

Steps to reproduce

Place inbox block in the front page, and click some of the threads, it does not redirect anywhere.

Proposed resolution

Could there be setting in the private message settings:

Allow inbox block work as a standalone block, redirect users to the message url
